Detailed Guidelines
- Only original papers that have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere can be submitted
- The problem under investigation has to be described and the motivation for the research should be given
- Previous results from the cited references should be briefly summarized
- Commercial references (such as Product Names, Brands, or Part Numbers) are not permitted in the body of the paper except in case of describing equipment and software used for the research. Commercial presentation opportunities are available during sponsored events at the symposium. Please contact us at info@icecom.org for more information.
- Presenting authors should be able to communicate effectively in English and deliver the paper in English to an international audience - authors who are unable to do so themselves, should make an effort to find alternative speakers who can effectively present their paper.
- ICECOM reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g. removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper is not presented at the conference.
- It is expected and required that each accepted paper will be orally presented (appx. 15-20 minutes presentation time) by its author, co-author or a presenter (non-author). Conference organizers will not send proceedings or paper separates to no-show authors. No-show authors will be excluded from all future paper submissions.
Optional - Submitting Abstract Only or Abstract + Full Paper Later
- It is possible now to submit abstracts (1-3 pages) only for presenting your latest research
- If the abstract is accepted, the submission of the full paper is not mandatory but is encouraged. In this case full papers can be submitted until July 15, 2023
- Papers submitted as abstracts without further follow up of a full paper will not be published in IEEExplore but shall be included in proceedings and program for presentation, just like regular papers
- Full papers as follow-ups of an accepted abstract may be subject to re-review. The re-review outcome will be known within 5 working days after submission
Authors - Registration Requirements
- At least one of the authors of each paper must register for the full conference. "No shows" or lack of registration fee payment will inhibit publication in the online proceedings. This is valid for regular as well as convened session papers.
- Registration must be complete by 31 August 2023. If any paper has not been registered against it will be withdrawn from the technical programme without exception.
- Authors may only register against a maximum of 2 papers. If an author has received acceptance for more than 2 papers it is recommended that a co-author registers against those papers to limit the number of presentations required by the same author. Each author/co-author must register separately.
- Please note authors’ registrations are non-refundable.
